It’s that time of year again, when Colorado can’t decide if it wants to be hot or cold. Everyday the anticipation builds as we wait for spring to officially make it’s debut. But that’s not the only exciting thing that’s coming into season, the Fort Collins Music Experiment (FoCoMX) is right around the corner.
This year marks the sixth year of the local festival, making it almost as constant as the coming spring. Just as constant is the massive lineup of Colorado music talent. Looking at the lineup we think it might be smart to use the festival’s schedule app and start planning now. With 150+ bands at 20 different Fort Collins venues in only 2 nights, you might find picking the right schedule to be a little time consuming. That’s why if you start now you have all the time you need to continuously switch band after band in and out of your schedule. Until like a slot machine you find the perfect combination, hitting the schedule jackpot for a perfect weekend.
Now we highly recommend that you pick wisely and pick to experience new things. With 150+ bands you definitely will find music you have never heard. Don’t be scared, this is the beauty of FoCoMX, and it is playing into your favor. Just do the math, with online tickets selling at $20 now and $30 after April 11th, at the most you pay $30 and you get your choice of music from 150 bands. That means when you create your schedule your paying $0.20 a band. Then when your schedule is made, we hope you have at least 15 bands a night on there, your still only paying $1 a band! The more you see the more value you receive! At that price you cannot afford to miss that new band you’ve heard about, or even that band with the cool name you know nothing about.
If you do have trouble picking a new artist to see, don’t hesitate to click through our video collection for a little help. Not only can you find footage from past FoCoMX festivals (2011, 2012, 2013), we offer the largest collection of quality live footage from the Northern Colorado music scene. So you’ll find that new band you didn’t know you wanted to see in person!
Now that there are no reasons to not experience new music, I’m mean it’s only $0.20 a band and we have a video collection to help you make those scheduling decisions, it’s time you went and bought your pass! Head over to FoCoMX.org and find even more info about the festival and where to get tickets!
